Dietetic calcium bolus for reduction of the risk of milk fever.

CaliBol is a fast releasing bolus, containing a combination of calcium chloride, calcium propionate and magnesium, which together e ectively reduces the risk of milk fever after calving.

 

CaliBol contains:

• Calcium chloride optimizes the calcium blood level in the short term
• Calcium propionate supports calcium blood level for several hours
• Magnesium contributes to a higher level of magnesium in the blood after calving

Benefi ts and effect:

• Dissolves in the rumen within 25 minutes
• Provides 40 grams of easy absorbable calcium
• Provides su cient calcium in the blood after calving
• Minimizes the risk of mistakes – the cow gets the intended

Application

1st bolus: Immediately after calving.
2nd bolus: 10-14 hours after calving.

High-risk cows may be supplemented with CaliBol 24 hours before calving and 24 hours after calving. It is recommended that a nutritional expert’s opinion be sought before use.
 

After treatment at calcium infusion:

1st bolus: 2 hours after calcium infusion
2nd bolus: 12 hours after calcium infusion
 

Consumption:

2-4 boluses per cow in the period around calving
